Eliza is passionate about supporting the returning to Spirit journey for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Eliza is also committed to enhancing death literacy within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities by sharing information that supports planning ahead for sad news and sorry business. Eliza draws motivation from lived experience of not knowing loved ones wishes, being unprepared for sorry business and the effects of trauma on the grieving and healing journey for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Eliza is a Director of the newly established National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Palliative Care Association (NATSIPCA). NATSIPCA aims to address the specific needs and challenges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples face on the palliative care journey, through a collective national voice and a holistic and healing informed Comfort Care approach.
