The Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing Scholarships

The Commonwealth Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is funding a number of scholarship packages for delegates to attend the 2026 Palliative Care Nurses Australia Conference being held from 10 – 13 June 2026 in a hybrid format (online and in Adelaide).

Scholarships will be awarded for face-to-face attendance for Palliative Care Nurses Australia (PCNA) members working in a metropolitan setting, regional, remote and very remote setting, as well as for online attendance.

THE COMMONWEALTH DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, DISABILITY AND AGED CARE SCHOLARSHIPS PACKAGE INCLUDES:

  • Fully paid delegate registration to attend PCNA 2026 conference (either in a face-to-face format or online).
  • Metropolitan onsite recipients will receive 2 nights accommodation and be reimbursed up to $500 for flights.
  • Regional, remote and very remote onsite recipients will receive 2 nights accommodation and be reimbursed up to $1500 for flights.

APPLICANTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS WILL MEET A SET CRITERION THAT INCLUDES:

  • Must be a current member of PCNA.
  • Must meet at least one of the following:
    • working in a regional, remote and/or very remote setting of Australia and supporting palliative and end of life care needs for their community
    • working in a metropolitan setting and providing care for patients with palliative and end of life care needs
  • Applications are now open and close 11:59pm Friday 30 January. Successful applicants will be notified no later than Tuesday 17 February.
