Meg Brassil was involved as a consumer representative in Palliative Care from 2010 until 2020. Initially she was a member of the then SA State-Wide Palliative Care Clinical Network which included participating in the Research subcommittee. In 2013 she joined the Management Advisory Board of PACCSC (Palliative Care Clinical Studies Collaborative) a national research collaborative of palliative services. From 2015 until 2020 she was on the National Advisory Group for Caresearch. From January 2017 she was part of the Consumer Advisory Group for IMPACCT at the University of Technology Sydney, IMPACCT (Improving Palliative, Aged and Chronic Care through Clinical Research and Translation). From 2018-19 she participated in ACTA (Australian Clinical Trials Association). She participated in several research projects in palliative care during this period. She is committed to both consumer and carer participation in palliative care and to research that gives the evidence base for how to best care for the dying. |
